Impact of Cool Reflective Paint to Reduce Heat Stress in Dairy Animals

Cool Roof
Cool Roof

This research project is about painting Cow and Buffalo (Gaushala shed) roof with cool reflective paint and analyze the cooling impact using thermal images using remote-controlled drone. Collected data will be used to evaluate the reduction of heat stress in cattle and relevant benefits, e.g., milk production.

After the study of cool reflective paint passive cooling using evaporative cooling will be introduced in the same shed and again its impact on cattle’s will be studied. After technoeconomic analysis of the implementation it can be used as a model if found feasible and can be replicated to other locations.
