Use of Solar Pumping & Drip Irrigation in built Farm Pond for Irrigation:

Solar Pumping & Drip Irrigation

This research project focuses on economical use of water resources for farm irrigation and use of renewable (solar) energy to make farms carbon neutral. The Khet Talawadi (Farm Pond) is ensuring collection and proper utilization of the rain water and then be used of irrigation during dry spell to ensure increased crop cycles.

The QGIS software will be used to locate the depression area in a particular farm to develop a sized Khet Talawadi which will store rain water and cater the water demand in other seasons. An overhead tank will be installed to which the water from the Khet Talawadi will be pumped using solar pump. The drip irrigation piping will be attached to the overhead tank to distribute
the water to the farm economically.
